Coins

22:39 / Posted by TL / comments (0)

The following should be of interest for coin collectors. My grandpa said he has collected some coins when he was staying in New York in the past 7 years. Although I am not a coin collector myself, but I really feel exciting when I found some coins dated at 1700-2008 from his collection. There are few pieces of coins dated at around 1750, that cost $300 each piece. Last I have read some newspaper articles that some people are trying to buy some 1 sen ancient coins (not aware of the date of the coin) for Rm 300 - Rm 6,000 randomly. Therefore, from my prediction, these coins will definitely worth as much in the next 100 years. Worth collecting for me.

It's weekend again

I have been told that my amway membership is expiring soon, and therefore, we were planning to renew it (for membership purpose, the first time, you may need to pay RM 85.00 I think, and RM 35.00 in the second membership year, and you will get a RM 10,000 insurance). There is this new Amway building where I think it is worth paying a visit, and yet someone told me that they are going to have a mini supermarket to sell their suppliments and other products in that building itself. As soon as we reached to Amway centre, I realized that my sister has an existing account (we usually purchase and consume Amway suppliments, and have been more than 20 years now). Therefore, instead of renewing my acccount, we went to the building to close my account (one advantages that causes me to feel that Amway is a reliable company because they are willing to pay you back the amount that you spend if you dislike some of their products and / or membership). Finally, I am free from Amway again. Since we only consume the suppliments, and not working as a direct sales for Amway, so if anyone interested to have an Amway membership, either (1) contact the Amway directly yourself, or (2) I can introduce you to some friends :)

Caption: my grandma and I at the entrance of the Amway building

Later in the afternoon, we went to grandparent's home to meet up with Liz. After observing the picture (in the below) for a number of times, I realized that she is quite tall. She is not wearing a high heel shoes in the picture, and if she do, she will looks taller than me :)

Caption: Liz and I at grandparent's home

Since it is Saturday on that day, we have decided to have some fun. This time, my younger cousin brother followed us along. If you look carefully at the picture (below), you will observe a little 'devil' trying to massage my grandma lol. That little devil is him, and his name is Adam Lim. Seriously, he is a very cute and shy person, except he cried very often and will get offended very easily. Probably he is still a little kid of age 6. One special talent that he has, that is his mathematical calculation is brilliant. I assume if his parents willing to spend more money to allow him to study abroad in mathematical area in the future, he should have a bright future in this field (related to mathematics, i.e. scientist, mathematicians, like Einstein? :O and etc).

Caption: the little devil massaging my grandma

Anyway, firstly, we went for dinner in a restaurant. They ordered a lot of dishes. This time, we have chicken, fish, vegetables, what else, hmm, I think one of the dish is yam, and some mixture of seafoods. Thumbs up! I really love the chinese foods in Malaysia if I rate it based on the price and quality, of course, compared to the foods in the UK.

Caption: dinner in a chinese restaurant

After the dinner, we have decided to walk around the nightmarket. As usual, I am not really interested in walking in a nightmarket, probably due to the heat. The weather in Malaysia is always warm, very warm, and I assume the temperature should be around 34 degree celcius throughout the year. They sell many things in the nightmarket, similar to the Wembley morning market in London, UK, except the nightmarket in malaysia has more stuffs for sale, and at a more cheaper price.

Caption: went to a nearby nightmarket (or pasar malam)

Then, we went to IKEA. Usually, people will go to IKEA to buy furnitures. Our mission is different. Instead, we went there for free drinks, lol. Anyone who has an IKEA friendcard (mastercard) can have free drinks, such as coffee, tea and soft drinks (as much as you want). If you look at my grandpa, he drank at least 3 cups of coffee on that day, and complained that he could not sleep at night, lol. As a result, greediness will not bring a person anywhere.

Caption: having coffee in IKEA

We went home at approximately 12:00 AM that night. My uncle bought some bluray cd's, and asked us to watch that movie produced by Mel Gibson, namely Apocalypto. I rate it as an excellent movie. This is really a good movie to me, and I strongly suggest people who has not watch this movie, should spend 2-3 hours watching it. As for dessert, he asked us to try out some of the fruits (this is the first time I have ever seen a fruit like that) that he bought from his friends. I heard it is very expensive. RM 18.00 per kilogram (that is almost £3.50 per KG).

Caption: an un-named tropical fruit

This unknown tropical fruit, is a fruit that looks similar to a 'natal-plum'. Someone named it as "buah susu" in Malay, and if you interprete it into english, a "buah susu" means milk fruit. I do not see a drip of milk in this fruit and so, I think that is not the right name for this fruit. According to my uncle's friend, this fruit is a very famous fruit in Brazil and Indonesia. This fruit is very nutritious, especially for girls. I have asked, will eating this fruit be beneficial for guys and he said "not that I know, but it is very beneficial for girls who eat them". For girls, consuming this fruit will provide them a better skin texture / complexion. One of my friend told me the name of the fruit is called "Maracuja" (or called Maracuya in Spanish), is a type of juicy passion fruit, a native to South America and widely grown in different countries such as India, New Zeland, the Carribbean, Brazil, colombia, Ecuador, Indonesia, Califonia, southern Florida, Hawaii, Australia, East Africa, Israel and South Africa. Thanks to Swee Ling for the information.
Caption: the inner section of the tropical fruit

I think i did mentioned to Liz about the importance of this fruit to her, and I think I did mentioned about the 'buah susu' (milk fruit) thing, sounded like will enhance a ladies *cough* and that is why she has this facial expression when eating the fruit? I might be wrong though :)

Caption: this is what happens when you tell a girl that a fruit is good for them

It may look a little gross to you, and you may eat the whole inner section of the fruit, and yes, including the juicy seeds. Chew the seeds well, and swallow it. The fruit tastes like mango, except the texture of the fruit (the eatable section) looks more like the softer version of a pomegranate. We finish watching the movies at around 3:00 AM. Surprisingly, I met my uncle's cousin brother. I have not seen him for quite some time now. Last I heard he went to Johor (a state in Malaysia that was located near to Singapore) and build his career there.

Caption: my uncle's cousin brother and I

Lastly, this picture is for my younger brother who is currently staying in the UK. This is also one his favourite vegetable. In fact, he hated this vegetable, but on purpose, I named this as his 'favourite vege' lol. However, he can not get mad at me because both Liz and I have agreed to capture the picture of this vegetable for blogging purpose, specifically for him to read :)

Went outing with mui-mui

11:22 / Posted by TL / comments (0)

I have been busy lately. Much more inconvenient to blog when I am not able to move my right hand around. Anyway, I went out with my mui-mui again. She brought me to a vegetarian restaurant in Sri hartamas (somewhere in petaling jaya).

Caption: Me and mui-mui

The foods are alright. I ordered vegetarian chicken teriyaki with rice (one my my favourite dish except in vegetarian style). The food tastes good but the portion is little. Price is reasonable I think. I really like having dinner in a pub-type of restaurant, mainly because we can enjoy the food for a longer time period, sitting there chatting and discussing 'personal stuffs', haha.

Caption: vegetarian style chicken teriyaki

Caption: vegetarian style fish dish (forgotten the exact name)

After dinner, we walk around different shopping complexes around petaling jaya. I think we spend quite some time walking, at least around 4 different shopping complexes (Ikea, Ikano, Tesco, and the Curve) on that day. Walking and chatting, chatting and walking, life can be really fun. We have been walking around Ikano and we came to this Sony shop. Guess what I saw?

Caption: SONY Vaio P at Ikano
We saw the Sony Vaio P series laptop. In my previous post, I did mentioned about the Levano's ultra portable computer. That suppose to be the world smallest note book. Recently, I found out that sony came out with this Vaio P series, and the size of this computer is really small! So basically, these 2 series of portable computer have become a rival now. The picture below is a depiction of the size of the Sony's latest portable computer.

Caption: mui-mui and the Sony Vaio P series laptop

The Sony's latest 8 inch (weight: 1.4 pound) is priced at RM 3,800 (or equal to £730) whilst the Levano model do not provide a price yet. T3 magazine believes that the Levano portable computer should have a lower price than the Sony. The size really attracts me, especially when you can fit it right in your purse and / or jacket.

Anyway, the 2 portable computer is no longer important if you compare them to this luxorious 24K carat gold Apple Macbook pro. The Apple logo in this machine is crafted with pure diamonds. It definitely looks so grand and unaffordable to me since it does not has a price yet.

Due to the changes of daylight saving time, the time in the UK has now changed, and is officially an hour ahead. That means, an hour less for people in the UK to sleep :)

Acupuncture

08:21 / Posted by TL / comments (0)

This is the 5th time going to the chinese doctor (the 2nd chinese doctor). First, they said the bone in my wrist has been dislocated. That is fine, they twisted my hand so many times, suffered for plenty of times now, but the fact is, they have cured the dislocation now. Thank god.

Acupuncture is a type of therapy is to promote health and alleviate pain and suffering. I heard it is a type of concepts for vital energy, energetic balance and energetic imbalance. For many years, this treatment has been vital and validated by chinese medical centres all over the world. Okay, let me get back to the story.

Since this is the 5th time visiting the chinese doctor, he suggests that the bone twisting method is no longer effective. He told me that "uncle will use a different method, a more effective one, using needles". The acupunture treatment is when the doctor uses is a method similar to how western doctors used to monitor the blood flow in the blood vessels, except western doctors will use different digital technologies (i.e. x-ray, ultrasound, etc.) for monitoring whilst the acupunturist will use some needles for monitoring. The doctor added, "this is not going to be painful" and gave me a smile. Well, it is not painful then. Come on, please do itr quick, because its getting late, 10.30 PM at that time. The first needle 'slotted', approximately 0.1 centimetre on my wrist. Well, that is fine, not feeling painful at all.

Caption : first needle

Then, I told the doctor that I wanted to capture some pictures for blogging purpose. This is why I have a few pictures now. When he poked the second needle into my hand, I started to feel the pain. I screamed but he just ignored me.

Caption: second needle

When he placed the 3rd needle in my wrist, I started to have some tears. This is the second time in my life for crying over something poked into my skin (the first time is when the doctors injected a needle for hepititis b, sometime in twenty years ago). This is insanely pain. The doctor said that he will be leaving the needles there for 30 minutes. Imagine how would i feel when 3 eedles were sticked into my skin for 30 minutes?

Caption: third needle

Finally, 30 minutes had passed. Finally. But the doctor said that he need to poke the last needle (forth needle) somewhere because he was thinking something is definitely wrong with the vein in my wrist. So he plased the whole 3.0 centimetre needle into the skin near my wrist, and tried moving my vein.

Caption: a picture of vein in a persons hand

He tried to reposition the vein on my wrist. He tried moving his needle in my skin, moving the needle in and out, left to right. Trust me, please do not go to an acupunturist. Either he do not know anything about acupuncture (my uncle went for acupuncture treatment somewhere and he feel no pain at all, instead, he feel relaxed) or my situation is very special. Anyway, a few minutes later, he removed the forth needle and asked me if it is still painful, lol? Hell I would say yes. I believe by saying "yes, I still feel painful", he will start 'messing' my vein with more needles. Sigh, actually I feel worst becase I feel the increment of pain in my hand than before meeting him.

The following day, I went to my family doctor. After several test, he believes that I need to visit a neurologist and not just a normal doctor. Then, we went to a neurologist for further consultation. A neurologist is a person who deals with disorders of the nervous system, including their coverings, blood vessels, and all effector tissue, such as muscle. He suggested me to not go for an x-ray, instead should go for MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan. The MRI will be able to produce a very detail capture of my hand, including the nerve system on my hand. However, the MRI scan is very expensive (usually cost 20 times the price of a normal x-ray). Anyway, this neurologist said his initial scan has showed that it has nothing to do with the bone structure, instead, it has something to do with the vein and nerve system. There were lack of tissues in vein and in the nerve. He believe it is the stress that I have, causing this matter so serious now. So now, this has something to deal with the stress that possesses my brain, onto the nerve system. Firstly, he asked me to not move my right hand even for 1%, so typing (I can, with my left hand only, so writing journals and blogging will consume much more time now), driving, writting, etc. is prohibitted for the next 6 weeks :( However, that will only help to cure the vein tissues. He asked me to visit him again for the nerve system :(

I can not believe that the pain that I have been encountering was caused by so many factors, first bone dislocation, second the loss of tissue in the vein and third, the stress that I have, killing the tissues in the nerve system. Hopefully I will be fine soon. So students out there, especially music students, please do not give yourself too much pressure over studies and make sure to sleep on time (before 12.00 AM), and make sure you are sleeping at the right position.
In case *touch wood* you encountered similar problem, there do have several methods to treat it. Dr. Ru (the brain specialist whom I did specify in earlier posts) asked me to soak a clean cloth into hot water (60 degree celcius), dry it and cover the affected area of my wrist. He suggested me to do it for 2 times per day, (1) when I woke up early in the morning and again (2) before sleeping (simultaneously for 3 to 4 times, 30 minutes every session). That method will help removing abnormal tissues in the affected area.

Barbecue pork: A cooking guide

10:34 / Posted by TL / comments (0)

Barbecue pork (chinese: char siu) is a popular roasted pork dish in the chinese cuisine. Usually, people will serve the barbecue pork with rice in most chinese restaurants.

Caption: barbecue pork

I came to this television channel where Martin Yan (originated from the Yan Can Cook TV programme) has showed us his cooking talent, to produce a nice plate of barbecue pork. It looks easy to cook, but when a friend tried it, and say that this is not easy.
Ingredient List: a piece of pork (it depends on which part of pork that you prefer; some prefer pork joint, while some prefer pork belly, but i think pork fillet is just fine) LKK Hoisin sauce, sesame oil, 5 spice powder, sugar, salt, sweet vinegar, normal vinegar, soy sauce, honey, shiu hing rice wine, and some sliced cucumber.
So what you really need is 400 gram of pork (boneless). Martin recommended us to marinate the pork (overnight and leave it in the fridge) with the ingredient listed in the above (LKK hoisin sauce, sesame oil, 5 spice powder, salt, a little sweet vinegar, soy sauce, rice wine, and honey). According to him, cooking this dish is easy. To cook the barbecue pork, take the marinated boneless pork from the fridge (you may want to add in some LKK hoisin sauce and some soy sauce to make the marinated pork taste stronger), and bake it in the oven (temperature : 175 celcius for approximately 1.5 hours, or maybe less, so you have to spend some time walking to the kitchen to observe the colour of the pork from time to time). While waiting for the barbecue pork to be cooked, you may want to (1) boil some rice and (2) slice some cucumber (i think it is for decoration purpose). After slicing the cucumber, marinate (for an hour or so until the pork is ready) them with some normal vinegar, some sugar and salt, and soy sauce.
Caption: sliced barbecue pork
When the pork is ready, take it out from the oven, and slice it (it will look something like this). Decorate the dish with the marinated and sliced cucumber, and serve it with boiled rice. Do tell me how it taste after cooking it.

Random stories (a)

What a sweet memory! I look at my photo album the other day, and found some really nice pictures. Two pictures that I think worth posting here; both photos were captured by my elder brother, the first is a photo of my younger brother and I. I believe the photo was taken around 17 years ago, when we were at age 10 (me) and 7 (my younger brother). The second photo was taken two years later (15 years ago). That is a picture of us (four of us; my two cousin brothers Kean Meng and Kean Hon, and both of us) fighting over the computer for games, lol. I still think I looks cuter than my brother at that time (I think he will feel very frustrated when he see this picture posted here without his permission, and yet saying someone else looks cuter than him haha). Well, if this is a fact, what can I do, right? I am just joking *evil grin*

Anyway, i went to the chinese doctor again. This time, her hubby treated me. I assume that he has more experience in bone dislocation. I feel much better after meeting him, much more relief compared to the other time. Afterall, I still could not hold a pen on my right hand to write :( Probably need to pay him another visit soon, and hopefully by then, my hand will fully recover. I snapped a photo of the chinese clinic, and posted it here incase anyone would need a chinese doctor to cure their fractured hand some day.

Liz looks bored on that day, so I asked her to stand next to my grandpa's bonsai. Here is the picture taken.

Caption: liz and grandpa's bonsai collection

Then, we went to this chinese restaurant for food. The food is very delicious. The price is reasonable to me. Among all dishes, the tomyam squid and the ginger fish tastes excellent. The soy sauce chicken tasted just as good as from other high-class restaurants. Yummy!

After dinner, we went to subang parade and walk around. My sister asked us to keep her accompany in this electronic store. I think she plan to look around for electrical appliances, probably for marriage usage? :O lol. But hey, take a look at the price of this "Electrolux fridge", RM 8, 429 :( Who can afford to buy such pricey fridge?

Caption: the RM 8, 429 Electrolux fridge

Then, we went to a mamak stall (also known as mapley, a type of food established by indian muslims and serve mamak foods) for supper. A friend told me that there is this very famous mamak stall around the place I am currently staying. That is also a reason for us to try the foods that they serve. I had "roti tissue" (roti tissue derives from the combination of two words, (1) roti or bread (in english) and (2) tissue (a type of paper), tastes very crunchy and is a very creative mamak food) as supper. I can not believe to see more than 100 people sitting in this mamak stall that night. Afterall, the foods are alright, and I would rate it as moderate.

Caption: roti tissue

I think another reason that these group of people gathering there is not mainly for food, but they do enjoy watching football matches (in a HD projector) while enjoying sisha (also known as hookah, a type of turkish tobacco or called the water pipe for smoking). Different article will provide different understanding. Some said it originated from India, whilst some said from Turkey. Sisha is very famous in the UK. I often seen a lot people sitting down in some tobacco shop smoking sisha and I do not know what it is at that time. It looks exactly like tobacco, except that this smoke contain different flavour, such as herbal fruits.

Wolf berry (a fact of the happy berry)

23:33 / Posted by TL / comments (0)

Wolf berry, is a type of, berry, lol. Why is it called a 'happy berry'? It is a nickname given to this berry because of the sense of well-being it is said to induce. The wolf berry plant claimed to have grown in the Himalaya region.

Traditionally, we named it as Goji berry (pinyin: 枸杞, gǒuqǐ), a small deep red coloured berry. Chinese people will usually use this berry to boil herbal soup. Their basic understand makes them to believe that these berry will ONLY help to improve a person's vision.

Caption: ripe goji berries

If you assume that goji berries will only help a person to improve their vision, then you are wrong. Do not under estimate this berry by its look. It may look small to you, dried, and red in colour. Numerous research have proven that this berry is probably the most nutritious berry in comparison to other types of berries that exists in this world (i.e. raspberry, cherry, blueberry, blackberry, etc).

Caption: dried goji berries that are ready to be eaten

Why is this berry so important? Here is the story. Originally, western people treated this as a fruit for them, and yes, just a normal fruit like oranges. But most people would prefer eating oranges since it produces vitamin c to a human. Some people would think that kiwi is much more beneficial than oranges since it provides 5 times the vitamin c produces by an orange. Recently, researches have been conducted, examining the goji berries are a very rich source of vitamin c, that an ounce (unit: 1 ounce = 28.3495231 grams) of goji berry will provide 500 times of vitamin c than oranges. Years ago, we know that the acerola cherry is the best source of vitamin c where it produces 250 times of an orange. But the goji berry provides 500 times of vitamin c, twice the amount of vitamin c than the acerola cherry!

Goji berries are an excellent sauce of vitamin a, and that is also why it helps to improve a person's vision (from my understanding, red colour berries will usually provide vitamin a to a person). Goji berries also contain vitamins B1, B2, B6, and E; they are becoming a famous antioxidant (antioxidants can help to prevent the grow of the cancer disease in a human body). This is also why a large study in Japan suggests that goji berries can help kill many types of cancer cells. They have proven that goji berries can minimise more than 50% of the success rate of a cancer disease to affect human body.

Goji berries conferred significant protection for a person's liver. The reason is that this berry contained 18 types of acid amino (liver) and 21 trace minerals, linoleic acid, and more beta carotene than carrots (beta carotene is a substance from plants that the body converts into vitamin a). Goji is also beneficial for a person's lung and kidney channels. Other minerals contained in a goji berry include isoleucine, tryptophan, zinc, iron, copper, calcium, germanium, selenium, and phosphorus.

Goji Berries can be eaten dried as they are or made into a juice. Very special isn't it? I am sure many of us do not know that such a small berry will be so beneficial for a human. Therefore, I strongly suggest you people to consume more goji berries from today onwards.

Spending half a day with my mui-mui

10:49 / Posted by TL / comments (0)

Chong Swee Ling, a.k.a. my mui-mui (pinyin: unknown), age: 21 (i think), d.o.b: N/A, home adress: N/A.

We treated each other as siblings (usually, I will call her mui-mui) since year 2009. However, the above are the only information provided by her :( She dated me a couple of days ago, bringing me out with her kancil. When she gave me a phone call, I was about to lead her to somewhere else (a little confusion where there were 2 petrol stations around my place, one in the east and another in the west). Somehow, almost everyone who visitted us will have trouble looking for my home :S
Caption: Swee Ling loves to smile when she see 'food' / in the menu
Caption: Swee Ling was choosing a dessert for me and herself
We decided to try out something 'fresh' and since that is the only day (I think) I am free, so she took me to this restaurant for dinner in Petaling Jaya (PJ). I ordered this dish called the Hakka Lui Cha. This is the first time I taste something like this. Many friends have been telling me about this Hakka Lui Cha, so I have a basic understanding of what it is. From my understanding, this is a hakka tea based food consisting of a mixture of tea leaves. Two separate dishes, (1) some rice grounded together with various roasted nuts, seeds, grains, beans, and with some various of vegetables, and (2) a small bowl of savory chinese tea (usually green tea / oolong tea), and mixing (1) and (2) before eating them. If you look at the pictures in the below, you will have a rough idea of how this beverage looks like. Hmm, tasty? I am not sure. It tastes so traditional, giving me a very traditional feeling (a feeling of my grandmother feeding me with food when I was aged 4) when having this food lol.
Caption: Hakka Lui Cha (or Lei Cha, this picture was taken from other website)

Caption: Hakka Lui Cha with tea (this picture was taken from other website)
Then, she full tank her car with petrol, and took me around Kuala Lumpur. So nice of her for doing that. This is also the first time someone wasting money on petrol, driving me around PJ and Kuala Lumpur. A while later, she took me to Mont Kiara (somewhere in KL), in this dessert bar (I think), and yes, she is hungry again. She said "I loves eating, and I usually a lot". This vege-eater human breed can eat a lot serious. She can eat more than me! Ok no joke, this is a compliment by me. I still wonder how some people can eat continuously and not getting fat.
Caption: me and my mui-mui
Caption: dessert that we have
'We' had a slice of cheesy tofu cake and a cup of concentrate grape fruit juice as dessert. Although we shared the food together, including the drink, but she consume at least 93% of the dessert :) Somehow, I am really happy to see some people who can eat and smile at the same time. It is something worth observing.

Spending a day with roy

12:39 / Posted by TL / comments (0)

I know Roy for quite some time, hmm, let see, at least 6 months now, through the phone lol. He is also my sister's current bf. I usually speak to him on the phone when I am still in the UK, and he goes "Hello TL, I am Roy" and repeating the same thing over and over again every single time lol. So I asked my brother, is that something like a yes-man (a person who always say yes only), lol. Finally, I managed to meet him. He asked me to spend day with him so we went out (my sister, Roy and I) from 11am to 12.30am, lol.

Caption: Roy and my sister (i)

Caption: Roy and my sister (ii)
Both of them brought me to one utama (one of the famous shopping complex in Malaysia). We were considered lucky to get a car park, considering a public holiday on that day. We went for lunch in a fish bar (i think a fish bar, lol). My sister ordered this "New York 'something' fish with cheese" (could not recall the full name of the fish) and she said that is the best fish dish ever in that restaurant lol. So, my lunch for that day is cheesy fish and chip, and seriously, very yummy.

Caption: entrance of the restaurant

Caption: the menu
Roy ordered a bowl of soup and a tonic cola (drink) for me. This soup is very special to me. It looks like a normal chicke mushroom soup, but when I start drinking the soup, I can taste some fresh fish meat in my mouth :P lol. According to both of them, the fish tastes much better than those found in the Manhattan Fish Market. For me, hmm, as long as it is eatable and tasty, then plus 1 point to the restaurant lol.

Okay, lunch is over. We rushed to the Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) to purchase three tickets for "Dragon Ball Evolution". I saw Roy rushed to the Gold ticket counter and I said "are you buying us gold screen tickets?" and generously, he answered "no, but do you prefer to watch in the golden screen?". I am expecting him to buy three gold class tickets if I say yes, should be more pleasant to watch in the gold class screen, but should cost alot more (i heard around x5 or x6 the price of a normal ticket)? He is really a nice guy who knows how to take care of his gf's brother's feelings and not only his gf, haha. Good good. Anyway, I have been a fan of the dragon ball comic since I was a teenager. I think the dragon ball comic is very addictive, and fun to read. I also have a complete set of the comic books in my desk now :P Though I know the dragon ball story well, I still wanted to watch this Stephen Chow's movie. Hmm, the story is totally different in the first half, than the original storyline. Firstly, few important characters were missing, i.e. Harlem who is Goku's best companion. I wonder how Stephen Chow is going to merge the story in later on (if he is planning for the next part of the dragon ball story). There are a total of 43 dragon ball story books, and this movie only reveal the summary of the first 13 books (as in
getting the story from few diffferent sections from the book no. 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 11, 13)? i think he need to have a few more dragon ball evolution movies before Goku can turn to a super saiyan lol. unless he summarize the story again in the "Dragon Ball Evolution: II". Overall rating for this movie is 3.5/10 for a dragon ball fan like me :(
Caption: three "Dragon Ball Evolution" tickets

When the movie ends, my sister suggest to wonder around the shopping complex before dinner. I still feel very full, probably the fish was not fully digested in my digestive system lol. Okay, we came to this shop selling a lot of televisions. What amazed me is this gigantic TV! Take a look at the size and the price of this Panasonic TV in the picture below, W0W!
Caption: Panasonic's largest TV, 103 inch @ the price of RM 220, 000
Anyway, the TV is not important since I have no plans in getting one in the future. Finally, we plan to have our dinner at Kim Gary (a restaurant owned by Hongkies). As usual, i ordered cheesy pork with rice for dinner. Roy ordered some (i think) chips with tartar sauce (no pictures taken, well, I have forgotten to capture one).

We went to a book store and spend few hours reading books in that shop before going to the Safari (a pet shop) in the other shopping complex. I spend hours reading this particular psychology book (very glad that the book stores in Malaysia will allow their customers to sit down and read any books that they want). There, I managed to understand something new and so to be included into my PhD thesis (going to critisize it in some ways lol). I also found this book name "When men die first". This book should be very interesting though there are no ways for me to read this book (sealed properly in a plastic wrapper). Many people told me that a male will usually die earlier than a female human. Is that something true? Not to me since I have read an article stated the longest living person on Earth is at age 159, followed by 129, 121 and 120. All of them are male humans.

Although not reading this book, but some medical papers have explained that numerous research have proven that eating dark chocolates (only dark chocolates) regularly will expand a person's life span for a year, and consuming tofu / soya oftenly will increase that person's life for 3 years. Additional ways to expand a person's life is to attend Yoga exercises more often. That will extend a person's life by 2 years.
Before leaving back to home, we spend approximately 40 minutes in this Safari (not a real safari, but a huge pet shop). I have captured some pictures of reptiles found on earth, and they look very gross. Therefore, I will not paste all pictures taken there. When snapping pictures around the shop, I managed to sneak into a "no entry" room. There, I found many poor baby hamsters locked in those plastic crates. They were waiting patiently for their owner to bring them home :( These baby hamsters (in the picture below) reminded me of the 3 baby hamsters that Tracy and I had since year 2004 (will not explain it so detail over here).

Finally, before going home, my parents brought me out for supper, lol. Shark fin or abalone may look tasty, but I still prefer having these as a meal.

And finally, this is a special pink pineapple that I have not seen before. I think it looks special since most people have not seen a pineapple and it's leaf. A short history of pineapple, and I am not sure how true it can be. Someone discovered the first ever grown pineapple on earth in Trent Park, near Oakwood station in London, United Kingdom.

From my observation, Roy loves cherry flavour foods / drinks, and love fries, and his favourite sauce should be tartar, LOL! I might be wrong anyway. Hmm, how can I evaluate Roy and his personality? Hmm, firstly, thumbs up. He is a very nice person, not really as shy as you think he is, lol, very helpful, soft, polite, though sometimes very decisionless. I will try to observe him a little more and will post it somewhere on blog. Thanks to Roy and my sister for willingly to spend one whole day with such a boring person.
