Initially, I have no plans to reveal this post this early before accumulating sufficient evidences from reading materials. However, I could see many friends have been struggling with stress due to exams, financial etc. On the other hand, a good friend of mine has been struggling with stress in the past few months. Therefore, I think this post would definitely be beneficial and hopefully would give her a better understanding of stress, providing sufficient methods to reduce her stress level in the future. Anyway, the major explanation of stress and pressure will usually provide a completely different understanding to a person. They are 2 common but different symptoms. Both stress and pressure are psychological effects with which would cause a person to suffer due to some emotional effects, such as fatigue and tension. Stress is how the body reacts to external pressure that causes frustration, worrying and uncomfortable feeling whilst pressure is a worrying effect involving heavy responsiblities (or duties) which may affect a person in decision-making. Normally, pressure would affect human decision processes and not stress.

In this post, I will discuss what I have read from some articles and heatlh papers concerning some remedies that people would usually use to prevent them from having stress. This was proven from some discussions with Dr. Rui and some friends who was studying as a medical doctor to provide a more validating evidence.

Anxiety would probably be the most serious effect caused by stress. Therefore, to relax from anxiety (a psychiatry would define it as a relatively permanent state of worry and nervousness state which occured in a variety of mental disorders) and additional effects such as the anxiety neurosis (one of the most serious stress symptom) or psychological stressors, there are variety of remedies that we could consume. Anxiety neurosis is a relatively serious symptom related to some organs in human, but no damages would normally shown that these organs are damaged. Anxiety neurosis normally caused by sexual desire: when a man or women is sexually excited but finds no creative outlet for the libido he becomes a prey to anxiety neurosis to mental conflict arising from suppression of libido. Libido is a psychoanalysis term for sexual urge or desire. However, this is not always the case. According to the two stress analysis and experts, McDougall and Gardon, the anxiety neurosis can arise as a result of conflicts between two different emotions. O'Kelly who is a specialist in this area suggest the root causes of anxiety neurosis were due to mental conflicts and frustration.

Dr. Rui would suggest the Diazepam. Diazepam is a type of drug that medical doctors would usually prescribe for their patient to treat various stressors. It was commonly used as a method as a replacement of psychological theraphy (I do not think you can get this from any pharmacy without prescription from doctors). Though, vitamin take part in very important biochemical reaction in our body. This means that the lack of vitamin will result in various affect from diseases. One common but important vitamin is the B complex. It plays an important role in a person's nervous system. This is also a reason where nutritionist would suggest to consume the vitamin B complex daily when the person is struggling over stress.

The vitamin B complex suppliment that we usually take daily will usually only contain few vitamin B, such as B1, B2, B6, B12 and usually encapsulate some various vitamins such as folic acid, niacin, inositol and paba. However, there were 30 types of vitamin B classified as the B complex. They are the B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B6, B7, B8, B9, B10, B11, B12, B13 - 22, Bh, Bm, Bp, Bt, Bv, Bw, Bx and the Lipoic acid which may total 30 different types of vitamins. However, only few types of vitamin B would help to support a person's body, which is also the only reason that you will not find other vitamin B in the vitamin B complex suppliments that we consume daily. Somehow, vitamin B such as B1 could be found in un-refined rice, B2 and B6 from animal organs such as liver etc., and B12 normally from soy such as tofu and other soy bean products. The calcium and magnesium is a completely different vitamins that were pronounced to be helpful in keeping our nervous system to work more proper. I do not know how this works, but it was stated clearly that it do help in relaxing our body and mind at certain time, depending the dose that we consume. But please DO NOT overconsume any chemical dose, else it might bring some side-effect to our body.

There do have other natural or we called that as chemical-free products to overcome stress effects. Based on some articles, the passion flower is a type of herb which would offer a tranqullizer effect and act as a sedative in our nervous system. We would usually feel calm and soothing sensation when consuming it. I could see the passion flower herbal tea (or commonly known as the passion flower chinese tea) for sale in some shopping mall. You may want to try it to help relaxing your nervous system.

The lemon balm is a herb which would significantly be beneficial for treating anxiety. This herb has some relaxant power that would keep a person away from different stress effects such as headache, high-blood pressure and hert palpitations. These effects will usually affect a person, causing anxiety to him/her. The lemon balm will help to improve the calm feeling and will usually bring a sense of well-being to that person. It is commonly used to treat nausea. Nausea is a symptom when you are having a panic attack, such as the effect before having an interview or examination.

I am not sure if this is right, but this is definitely what I have read from some medical articles. The valerian root (a type of herb) is capable in producing relaxation to a person. People would usually consume as a sleeping aid for them. If they have trouble with sleeping, they will usually consume it in higher-dose, and lower-dose when they need some soothing and calming effect. It was stated that the valerian root is effective in calming a racing mind (or competitive mind). So when the person is having trouble with panic attack, such as monitoring the share market, then the valerian root would usually be of assistance to them.

If you love drinking chinese tea, then the charmomile is going to be perfect for you. Charmomile is a herb, traditionally used to calm and relax our body. Whenever you feel anxious or nervous, a cup of charmomile tea would help to reduce the stress effect. Some other herbs such as papermint is useful to settle problems related to human nervous system.
IMPORTANT: Herbs can be very dangerous if taken inappropriately. Please follow the direction or prescription on the bottle, or get consultation from herbalist if necessary. It is important to ensure that the herbs you consume will not have any stimulant property. If they do, it may worsen the anxiety attack.
According to Dr. Rui and some medical doctor friends, stress normally produced from work, and therefore, usually no medicine would be able to completely removing stress. Except some drugs that focuses on the central nerve system, but doctors would usually not prescribe them to you due to the side-effects. Therefore, doctor will usually suggest you to do some exercises such as Yoga. It will definitely be beneficial for your body.
